WDYT of the name Hope?

I think it's pretty and old fashioned without being outdated. It's such an interesting sound, too! It reminds me of the Emily Dickinson poem, Hope is a thing with feathers...

For nicknames I would probably use Hopie, but it's not really a name that needs a nickname, so it would be more of an endearment. For a middle name I would probably use Catherine, so Hope Catherine V______.

I LOVE that name as well. I would use it for a middle name. Like Kiana Hope. But if I used it for a first name, I would use Elisabeth as a middle name.

I know a woman named Hope who is sweet and slender, tall and blonde. Very smart. She's the only person I've known with that name, come to think of it!
I think it's a lovely name.

My neighbor Hope is a drunken party girl so that's who comes to mind.

My roommate's best friend is named Hope, and she just got married at the ripe old age of 18...

I don't like Hope...mainly because this lady I know has a daughter named Hope and every time I see her its "Hope this, Hope that." and "Hope, what do you think?" "Where are you Hope?" "Hoppppe??" Ugh. Drives me nuts.

My niece is named Hope Alexis! I like it, and I don't necessarily think it sounds religious. I don't think my sister in law planned on a nickname for her when she was born, but sometimes people call her Hopie. It is a really different sound, but I prefer it to cutesy Kylie-sounding names any day.

Hope is a middle name used in my family, myself, my daughter, a cousin and my grandmother all have the middle name Hope.

I like it (obviously, I'm biased) and I've been collecting "Hope" things over the years... very cute-sy I want to do a shelf all around my daughter's room with things that say hope.
