I know there have been posts on this name before, but we don't seem to tag here and for the sake of not scrolling through billions of entries, I'm posting another.
I recently read "The Other Boelyn Girl" by Philippa Gregory and it's got me thinking about the name. I used to dislike it, but after thinking on it a bit and hearing on a TV show as well as from this author it's beginning to grow on me.
Not sure that I'll actually be having any more kids but were I to have one today and it were a girl, I am feeling compelled to say her name would be Philippa Elizabeth.
also, how do you all pronounce Philippa? and wdyt of Pippa as a nickname? to me it screams quirk and endearing cuteness. this may be my perception as I'm pretty sure the name Pippa is not common around here.
