Hi, I'm new, my name's Lindsay, which is a name I hate, my middle name is better, Julia. I love names, especially Hebrew names. My favourite names are Samara (but I hate Samantha and just Sam), Mahalia, Liora, Devina, Layla, Nitzan, Talia, Josepha (pronounced Yosepha), Yael and Madelaine. Which spelling of Madelaine do you like the best, Madelaine, Madelyn, Madeline, Madelene ......etc?.

I like Madelaine and Madelyn.

And Talia, even though you didn't ask that. :)

I'm a bit of a fuss-pot over original and 'proper' spellings, so I prefer Madeleine...

Madelaine, Madelyn, Madeline, Madelene
They all have their own pronounciation, but I'd say I like Madelyn the best.

Madelaine sounds really akward.
Madeline reminds me too much of the cartoon character.
And Madelene is sorta weird.

Madelyn (mad-uh-lyn) is pretty if you pronounce it that way. :)

A lovely Hebrew name is "Mehitabel." It means, "God will make happy."
Also, "Lila." (Night)

All the different Madeline's have different pronunciations. So it depends which you think sounds best.

Madelaine- MadeLANE
Madelyn- MadeLIN
Madeline- MadeLINE
Madelene- MadeLEEN
