(no subject)

In the birth announcements in my local paper today, amongst the Madisons and Avas and Jacks and Avas and Charlies and Avas (and one Kaisha *eyeroll*) I came across:

Violet, little sister to Everett (4).

I like both names, even - or maybe especially - together. The repeated -et sound doesn't  bother me, which is odd, things like that usually do.

What think you?

I really like those as a sibset.
I like similar sounding names though, even in a combination

ie/ Iola Violet, Max Alexander

Thanks :-) Though it's a bit redundant. Iola means Violet in Greek so it's pretty much saying Violet Violet. I didn't eve know that when i paied them together.. coincidence !!

That's a very subtle sibling set, like my sister and I. My name is Melissa, and my sister is Emily. So I am "ME-LI" and she is "EM-IL"... her syllables are mine backwards.

I think that is adorable! I love old fashioned names.

I like Violet. I never really considered Everett before, it's alright. They do sound nice together.

Kaisha has been around for a little while. I grew up with two of them, who happened to be the same age and lived on the same street.

Ugh, just noticed that you said Everett was a girl.

That was my grandfather's name, so yeah...that's a no.
