I came across a book called "Princess Ben."
Ben for a girl?
WDYT?

One of my favorite books, How To Meet Cute Boys (by Deanna Kazis) - well, the main character is Benjamina "Ben" Franklin.

I think it's cute in that usage, but it's just all right in real life.

Only as a nickname maybe. I think I would prefer Bren, but I don't really like either of them.

Ben makes me think of my husband, so no.
Benjamin is one of the those male names that, in my opinion, hasn't successful crossed over to girldom yet.

I really, really liked the idea of boy nicknames on girls for a while (possibly because I thought Joey on Dawson's Creek was cool), so I decided that Ben would be an okay nickname for Brianne/Brianna. I don't actually think it works that well anymore.

I knew a Benita that went by Ben, so it doesn't seem too strange on me
