(no subject)

Lila Amara
Londa Leanore
Clara May
Deirdre Myrona

Opinions? I'm iffy about Myrona, but I think it's pretty by itself.

Suggestions are welcome. :)

my older sister's name is Deirdre; she loves it now, but had a bit of trouble with it when we were growing up. I personally think it's a lovely name, and is definitely my favorite out of the list you have. don't know how I feel about Myrona though.

I like Lila Amara and Deirdre, but not too fond of Myrona. Londa sounds weird to me too. Clara is cute.

Ah ok. I have just never heard it before, but that is kind of neat. :-) I'm ALL for different names.

I love Lila Amara. Clara May kind of sounds like a cow name to me. ahahha.

I knew a girl named Deirdre and she got made fun of all the time. So I would name my kid that. haha.

I like Lila a lot.

Clara May sounds too southern belle. like she should be wearing a corset and fanning herself. haha

and I also like Leanore.

clara with a different middle name would be cute cute cute

I love Lila, but I don't think that Amara meshes well with it. The two A's in a row are difficult to pronounce. I also like Clara, too. :D

I have always liked the name Myron, for a boy. I'm afraid to use it though, because you know kids would call him moron...

[identity profile] krazyhippie.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 10:25 am (UTC)(link)
That was the first thing I thought of when I heard Myrona.

[identity profile] daveandmonika.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 11:35 am (UTC)(link)
the only person I know named Myron is my uncle, and I honestly never thought of linking it with 'moron'

[identity profile] so-there.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 06:54 am (UTC)(link)
that's cause he's your uncle, and not a kid at school you wanted to pick on...

that's cool though! I don't know anyone with the name, and I do like it a lot.

I like Lila and Clara very much.

One of my daughter's friends is Clara Jane.
I tend to think that Clara with a one syllable middle name makes it "cow-ish".
Try it with a longer middle name, it's a beautiful name!

[identity profile] daveandmonika.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 11:48 am (UTC)(link)
My favorites on your list are Lila and Clara, though I would pick different middle names. I think they would sound best with a middle name that didn't start or end with the 'uh' sound and was more than one syllable. (I also am personally drawn to middle names with the accent on the second syllable, so that is what most of these will have, but it is hard for me to come up with other ones :-p)
Lila Marie/Clara Marie
Lila Simone/Clara Simone
Lila Nichole/Clara Nichole
Lila Noelle/Clara Noelle

other second syllable accented names I found on namenerds:
Adair Adele Aileen Brianne Brielle Brienne Brigitte
Camille Carine Celeste Cerise Chantal Charlene Cherise
Cheyenne Ciel Clarisse Colette Corinne Cybelle Danae
Denise Eileen Elise Estelle Gisel(l)e Ianthe Janae
Janelle Jaylene Jeannette Joanne Joelle Justine Kathleen
Katrine Laurine Leanne Lisette Lorraine Lourdes Lucille
Lynnette Martine Maureen Maxine Milan Mireille Monet
Monique Nadine Patrice Pauline Rachelle Raquel Rochelle
Roxanne Sarai Selene/Celine Simone Sinead Siobhan Solange
Solenne Suzanne Suzette Yasmeen Yvette Yvonne

Lila Amara - Nice
Londa Leanore - Don't care for either name
Clara May - Clara is a name you can either dress up or dress down. Clara May is definitely dressed down. Imo May makes Clara sound really frumpy country-bumpkin sounds. Something like Clara Victoria on the other hand, would sound very classy. Jmo.
Deirdre Myrona - LOVE Deirdre. Don't like the sound of Myrona at all.

I've always loved the combination of Clara May. It's so sweet and pretty I think. I love both Lila and Amara, but not together. Londa is an interesting name. I've never heard it before, but I think it's pretty.

Lila Amara for sure. You might also consider a slight alternative like Lila Amari - that way you don't have the end sound being repeated.
The others not so much. In particular I think of Clara and Deirdre as being outdated. Londa Leanore is a bit over the top. Clara May is country-bumpkin like someone else said.
