I love the name Allegra.

Does everyone still associate the name with allergy medication?

I think it's so pretty. Both sound and meaning are greta.

And I didn't associate it with allergy medication until I watched The Sopranos. We don't have that medicine here, I believe ;)

I think of that children's show back in the 90's called Allegra's Window.

I've never actually heard of the allergy medication, but oddly enough the first thing I thought was that it sounds like a medical term. Not really a fan.

Since my fiance has horrendous allergies and takes Allegra everyday in the spring, yes, that's precisely what I associate it with.

Allegra definitely brings to mind the allergy medication for me immediately. But I have some serious allergy problems, so maybe it's because allergy medications are a big part of my world. My itchy-eyed, runny-nosed, sinus headachey world. :^(

Yup, I think of those commercials right away with the purple pill.

I do think of the allergy medicine, but it's still a nice name. I take Benadryl, anyway. :P

I once met a girl named Alegria, which is similar but perhaps less medicinal, if that's a major concern.

I TAKE Allegra but that still somehow doesn't ruin the name for me. Maybe it's the musical side of me but I actually think of the term "allegro" before I think of my horrible allergies.

I don't think that I associate with the medication, I just don't like it at all.

I only associate it with Lord Byron's daughter with Clare Claremont. I love the name too but am always being told that it sounds like a car or a medication. :(

I don't automatically think of the medication, but that could be because I am a musician. ;o)

I love the name, and I'm from the UK, I don't think we have that here.
