Apr. 26th, 2008 01:17 pmLast night my boyfriend and I discussed baby names, just because it came up that he had named his future kids already which I find unusual in a boy, haha. So it's not like we're getting married or having babies, but it was interesting to talk about.
He wants:
William, nn. Liam
Charles, nn. Charlie
Madeleine/Madalynn (he didn't specify a spelling, but that's how he pronounced it.) Didn't mention a nn.
When I pointed out that every baby girl born this year is either a Madeleine or Madison, he seemed discouraged, which is good because if we ever DID end up together, William is already my favorite boys name too, though I prefer Will as a nickname, and I could live with Charles even though it's not on my list, but I don't want a Maddy.
For girls (I want two) I like Evelyn and Lorelai, both of which he really seemed to like. He did not like Henry, which is my second favorite boys name, but like I said, I would give up Henry for Charles, for the sake of compromise, haha.
Also, updates on unusual names I've posted about recently.
Charlesey is spelled that way, and she's just named after her grandfather, they just feminized it with the cutesy 'ee' sound on the end. Incidentally, her boyfriend Charles is also named after his grandfather. Amusing coincidence.
And Vangelica is a name that her father just made up, it came to him in a dream I think she said, and they just liked it and used it. No deeper meaning than that. Her nickname is Gel. Meh.
