Hmm, but I meant it as an adjective. A lively puppy. ...That is being used as an adjective, right? Am I going completely insane? (It's been a looong week.)
that would be the adjective use of it...the puppy ran lively would be the adverb use...the lively puppy ran lively would be too much (which is also what I say to the OP).
