Lastnight I had a dream that I gave birth to twins. A boy and a girl. I can't really recall thir middle names, but I chose to name the boy Ember and the girl Scarlett.
When I awoke I realized what a strange combo of names. To me, it sounds cheesy, a scarlett ember....
Now, I do like the name Scarlett, it sounds classy and refined.
Also, I've never heard of using the name Ember at all, but in my dream I did it because my sister's name is Amber. WDYT anout the name Ember, as a name in whole or for a boy?
And have you ever had any strange name dreams?

I've always liked the name Ember for a girl. Never considered it for a boy. It sounds feminine to me, probably because it sounds so much like "Amber."

To me it's all girl. I don't think I'd ever use it, but I do kinda like it.

i was just thinking about this name yesterday, because i think it sounds like a much better version of amber. i don't like it for a boy though, it's too feminine.

I know a little girl called Ember, she wears it well. Not crazy about it for a boy though.

I've had a few name dreams over the years ...
Noah
Ruby Raine [that spelling, I saw it written down]
Lily & Owen (not sure if it was a sibset)

And once I dreamed my mother had twins; Jack Aidan & Julia Agnes. And I also had a two year old sister Faith Margaret (presumably along with my actual brother).
Pretty good sibset for us; the names are decent and probably my parent's style. Though my mother won't be having any more kids; but if she did they wouldn't have matching initials, or a crazy trendy name.

I had a dream that my sister had a baby named Owen McGregor (McGregor was the mn not the last name). I think I had Ewan McGregor on my mind. haha

I have dreams all the time that I am pregnant and I *ALWAYS* name the kid Aurelia, except for that one time I ended up with a boy and named him Drake with a middle eastern middle name that I don't remember.

There is/was a regular member here named Ember. I had never heard the name before that, but there is something I like about it a lot. It seems like a feminine name to me.

I don't know if this would count as a name dream or not, but...I was with my last boyfriend for eight years. Neither of us wanted children, but out of the blue one day, my boyfriend said, "If we ever have a little girl, can we name her Emily?" That happens to be my favorite name, so I agreed. He told me to pick a middle name, and he agreed to Jane. He even went as far as to nickname her Emmy. After that, every once in a while, I'd dream about Emily Jane. In my dreams, I don't think we ever called her by name, but I'd look at her (she was beautiful, too, had his dark red hair) and know that it was our Emily Jane. It almost made me change my mind about having children.
