[identity profile] kati-d.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I posted here a while back and was overjoyed by the responses I got. I took all of your opinions into consideration and narrowed the list a bit.

Here are the combinations my FI and I have come up with

Boys:

1. Caleb ________ (i just cant think of the perfect middle name that compliments this great first name. My FI thought of Seth but I dunno....)
2. William Cole
3. Connor Nolan
4. Austin Philip

Girls:

1. Nora Grace / Eleanore Grace (i cant decide what to do with that)
2. Anna Felicity
3. Ella Kathryn
4. Evelyn Claire (not in love love with Claire.. but had no other ideas and thought it sounded decent)

Heres my dilema... the more I read your comments and thought about it I started to dislike Addison but i LOVE LOVE addy... is addy to plain to use as a first name. It kinda feels incomplete.. maybe if we could come up with a great middle name to complment it it would be ok.

Also...
I love Lara but I already have 3 names on my list with the Ah ending so 4 is a bit much. I hope I dont have too many girls bc there names will all sound alike :)

Thanks again for your help! I really appreciate it. and its fun to get feedback! :)

You could call her Adelaide, and she could be Addy for short. I think it's a pretty name.

I love Addy, but not really Addison, so I know how you feel! Out of your names, I really like Ella Kathryn and Nora Grace. What about Caleb Nathaniel? Anyway, those are my thoughts. :)

I love your names! Simple, not too trendy, and not trying to be "unique".

Eleanore Grace is just so sweet. I'm not crazy about Evelyn, but you're right Evelyn Claire does sound nice.

I think Michael goes nicely with Caleb. Caleb Michael. Connor Nolan is a great name.

I don't think that Addy would make a very good first name and I'm also not crazy about Lara. I really like most of the ones you have picked out, though. :)

i have a friend who named her little boy caleb thomas. cole william is cute too (i know thats a little switcharoo, sorry) but connor and austin are too trendy for my taste.

ella kathryn is my favorite, but i prefer catherine or katharine. i do also love nora grace though.

you have some great names there, you really cant go wrong. good luck to you. :)

Adelaide or Adeline instead of Addison? I love the name Addison, personally :) Anna Felicity is PRECIOUS, though. That's what I would use. Evelyn Claire is cute, too. Really, I like them all.

Oh, I guess people beat me to Adeline/Adelaide, hee. But I forgot to say, my favorite of your boys' names is William Cole.

I like Addison a lot. I like Austin and Connor the best of those four. btw, I think Nolan or Philip would also go with Caleb. Or Caleb william, Caleb Benjamin, Caleb Michael, Caleb Lee.

I like Eleanor Grace. It sounds BEAUTIFUL and Nora could be a nn if you or her like it a lot.

Caleb Anthony
Caleb Samuel
Caleb Ryan
I like Caleb Aaron and Caleb Benjamin from the ones already suggested.

Evelyn Dawn
Evelyn Aurora
Evelyn Rose
Evelyn Adelaide (nn Addy)
Evelyn May

I really like Elenore Grace but I don't like Nora. As a nn it's ok but not a full name, imo.
William Cole is my favourite boys name from your list.

What about Caleb William? or William Caleb?

I like Caleb Tate. I am also a fan of Austin.

For girls, I like Nora Grace. I think that is really beautiful and not too common.

I love Caleb. I know a boy named Caleb Thomas. I also like Cole, Nolan, Connor, and Austin, although Austin was a bit trendy in the mid-90s. I don't really like the flow of Connor Nolan. I think Connor Cole or Connor William would flow better.

I love Nora, Anna, LOVE Felicity, Eleanor and Ella. I like Grace, but it's used a lot lately as a filler name (like Lynn, Anne and Marie used to be used). Kind of like you're using Claire as a filler because you have no other ideas. I like Kathryn spelled Katherine the best, but Kathryn is still good, probably my second-favorite way. Felicity is my favorite out of that list. I'd use it as a first name. If you have trouble coming up with middle names are there any family members or close friends whose names you could use, or use part of?

People use Abby or Abbie as a full first name, so I don't see why not with Addy. I like it. You could also use Adelaide or Adele.

If our baby turns out to be a girl she will be named Eleanor :-)
Though I was wondering why you preferred the extra 'e'?

Rosemarie...named after Dave's grandmother's. So: Eleanor Rosemarie Paden.. I like how it flows ...especially better than Rosemary which is what Dave's mom suggested when we told her...plus, you know, that isn't her name, it's Rose Marie (but always said together and this way our daughter will only have one middle name)

You have much better taste than most of the names I've seen here. William Cole is definitely my favourite on your boys' list, but the only name I don't really care for is Austin.

Grace is a very very very popular middle name, but I think it's lovely. Ella is awfully popular, but none of the girls' names are bad ones. I do prefer Nora as a nickname for Eleanor(e).

Addy/Addie as a given name would be awful, and Addison/Adison is not much better. There are some really good Ad- names out there, though. Other suggestions are Ada, Adelheid, Adara, Adela, and Adria (all from BehindTheName, the best site ever).
