I am 12 weeks pregnant with my third baby, unknown sex. I have two boys, Richard Montgomery "Ricky" and Kevin Tucker. I'm looking for middle name suggestions. For boys I want to stick with the surname theme.

Oliver- ehh so so not too hugely keen on the name
Lucas- One of my favourite boys names
Nathaniel- Don't like it, but i like the nn Nate a lot.
Xander/Zander (I go back and forth how to spell)- Xander. Like it.

Girl

Amelia- Beauuuutiful. My baby's name :-)
Linda- I really think of this as a middle aged womans name (& it makes sense since it was your mums! Maybe you could use it as a middle name. I just dont like it on a baby nowadays. I think Amelia Linda sounds lovely.
Lindy- i wouldnt call this modern.
Phoebe- Love this, its a wonderful underused name.
Audrey- Don't like it at all.

& also, i hope you dont mind me saying but your list of names surprises me, I dont think they are at all in the same genre as your kids name.

No, it's nothing like my boys names LOL. They are more along the lines of my husbands likes. He's going with more of my choices this time, and it shows LOL.

Amelia is one that he actually doesn't like, but he's going to try to find a mn he likes to go with it. Because I like it, a lot. Do you call your dd Mia btw??

Audrey is his favorite, with Phoebe as his second choice. It's more my third choice now as I really like the idea of naming the baby (should I have a girl) after my mom. I'd say I like Linda/Lindy, then Amelia, then Phoebe.

Amelia is a name that has to grow on people i think...but it does Initially i didnt like it, i was more taken with Amélie after watching the wonderful film! But i was afraid she would always be mistaken for an Emily, & i didnt want that.
Amelia is such a pretty name to write.. i found myself doodling the name, writing it over & over again without realising what i was doing! Then i realised what a gorgeous name it was.
I try to avoid nn. but if it's going to end up shortened it will be Lia, as i dont like Millie at all.. Hadnt actually thought of Mia!

I dont know why i dislike Audrey... In england its known as quite an old name, like Barbara & margaret. I think of grannies! Naming your daughter after your mum is lovely, its just in my honest opinion i can't see a baby Linda. (but that is such a silly thing to say, as all adult lindas must have been babies once!- what i mean to say is i think it's kind of out dated)

Xander/Zander - Dislike. I think of dander and dandruff. I do like Alexander, but with nn Alex instead.

your boys names include two that top my own list: oliver and lucas. my nephews name is alexander and we call him xander. adorable. i do like nathaniel also. i really like the idea of surnames for middle names, the aforementioned nephew has my nanas maiden name as his middle, and its what we are planning to do when/if we have a boy. we are lucky though, my mothers maiden name was gray (which will be the first one we use), my other grandmothers maiden name is shepard, and my boys mothers maiden name is smith.

as for girls, i like amelia and lindy, which is very sweet since it is a takeoff of your mothers name. phoebe and audrey are okay too, but i would probably choose phoebe over audrey.

For some reason I can't think of any good middle names to go with your boy names, but I do like the ones you have.
For your girl names, I like all of them but Linda/Lindy. Linda sounds dated to me (but would be a good middle name if you want to honor your mom) and Lindy makes me think of Lindy England, the soldier who went to jail for torturing prisoners in Iraq. In fact, that's the only time I've heard that name used, so I definitely have a negative connotation for it.

my name is Linda and I really like it. I'm 20, and yeah it kind of sucks that it was either the first or second most popular name in the 50's, so it gives people the outdated idea. however, that's one of the reasons i like it. i'm not another ashley or jennifer.
