I LOVE the nickname Ally for a girl, and have stuck with Alexis as a potential name (dispite it traditionally being a boys name). I dislike Alexandra and Alexandria, so they are out. I don't mind Alexa, but I feel it looks incomplete.

So help is needed - What other names could have the nn Ally?

I love it too, along with Alexandra and Allison/Allyson. Another Al- name on my list is Alannah.

Why not just go with Ally??

I know two Alisandra's (live that name!) and one Alaundrea.

I would use it as a nickname for Alexandra. If you don't like that one, my other top choices would be Alice, Alissa, and Alicia (Ah-lee-see-uh, not Ah-leesh-uh).

My friend Allyson goes by Ally.

I'm an Alison, and my nickname is Ali (pronounced the same as Ally).

I'm half planning on using Ally for Alma :)
More than anything, I think that's what will come natural to most people where we live.

The only names I like with the nickname Ally are Alice and Allison.
