(no subject)

One of my parents friend's, Diane, had another grandchild last month (I believe) and I just found out the name.  Diane's daughter babysat my siblings and I when we were little and the new baby is Diane's son's.  The new baby is named Aundreya Jule and her older sisters are Amanda Mary and Alissa Marie, which are mine and my sister's names (only mine is spelt Alyssa and we have different middle names).

WDYT?

I don't mind the name Andream but why Aundreya? Ugh! No! It bothers me. Suck "unqiue" spellings only cause trouble to the kid later on ("No, it's A-U-N-D-R-E-Y-A". "WTF?") and take away from the name's original beauty. I really hate it when people do that.

Is the spelling correct? Is she pronouncing it Aundreya but spelling it Andrea? I think its the Danish who pronounce it that way instead of And-re-ah

It's horrific.
Andrea on a girl is already bad as it is, since it comes from the same word for "man" in greek. Would be like naming a girl Manley or something..

But Aundreya sounds like a goofy, crippled creature from a role-play online game.

And I like Alyssa much better spelled like in your name!!
Also, why did she borrow your names? Didn't that sound creepy at all? :P

Aundreya Jule is horrendous.
