Daphne just makes me think scooby doo. Its kind of cutesy too.
And Polly makes me think of parrots.

daphne is nice, always strikes me as very serious so i don't have the scooby doo association at all. polly is horrible. makes me think of sour-faced old maids, lolz.

Not a fan of Polly, but I love Daphne. I don't think Scooby-Doo when I hear it - I actually think class. Polly's definitely cutesy. It's like it should be short for something, and the full name options aren't much better.

I love Daphne. It's my favorite girl's name. I do think of Scooby Doo and Frasier when I hear it, but I also think of a dear family friend, and the Greek myth. My first daughter will be Daphne Margaret.

Polly is so Polly Pocket and a Nirvana song to me. It's not bad, but I wouldn't use it. It's too nicknamey to me. If I was going to name my child Mary or Penelope, I might use Polly as a nickname.
