OK. So, I volunteer at a hospital and there's a little girl there who name is Merry. She's like 6ish, and she's adorable.

So...WDYT?

It's a sweet nickname, but I don't know about it on an adult.

i think if youre going to name a child mary, you should spell it as such. merry is ridiculous, unless it is a nickname for something.

It's cute but her name will be misspelled by darn near everyone for the rest of her life.

I had a friend named Merry when I was little, about first grade, I think... but I don't remember if it was short for anything. I think it's kind of cute.

Merry is one of my favourite names ever! I hope to use it on one of my daughters (I want to name her Merry Abigail).

It's also my favourite teacher's name. She and I are very close and she's helped me a lot, so it would be nice to remember her like that.

I like it. I picture a very cheerful person. A Goth named Merry would be funny too... ;)

My mom was going to spell mine that way but then after nearly dying in labor she said I wasn't a very merry baby after all lol.

I think that if you like the name Mary, but want something to make it not so plain, Merry is probably the way to do it. I think it's sort of nice.
