it's been awhile

One of my nursing instructors has an 11 year old daughter named Porcelain.

All I can say is, wow.

It would suck if this kid turned out to be really fragile and delicate.

Or be really ironic if they were a klutz.

oh my god. seriously. that is one of the most disgusting names i have ever seen. everyone who sees the word porcelain immediately thinks of toilets! jesus what is wrong with people!!

[identity profile] dustkitty.livejournal.com 2008-04-05 11:20 am (UTC)(link)
...Because toilets are obviously the only thing made of porcelain.

I do find it a bizarre name that lends itself well to cracks about the Porcelain God, but toilet was far from the first thing that came to my mind.

Sorry. Hormones+insomnia. Your comment just hit me wrong.

i understand, thanks. i shouldnt have said "everyone" who thinks of porcelain "immediately" thinks of toilets. that was a huge generalization.

Actually, when I hear 'porcelain' I immediately think of dolls.

Me too. Which is equally disturbing in a way. Porcelain dolls kinda freak me out.
