Jan. 11th, 2006 12:26 amso last night I spent the night at my sisters and forgot to take the list of boy names you guys gave me. But we talked about girl names and she realyl doesn't care if their popalur. The last name is either going to be Kazzimir or Johnson, we're hoping Kazzimir. As the auntie, I wanna be involved naming the kid. My sister knows this.
The names are:
Alyssa/Alissa
Analiese
Ashley - She's madly in love with this name
Natalie - She loves this name as well. It was my suggestion! ^_^
Riley
Jessika - She doesn't want the tradition Jessica spelling and likes the K, as do I.
Hannah
Emily - Although it's quite popular now, she still likes it.
No boy names yet :( but thats okay. We found out today she's 7w1d pregnant. I saw the baby's heartbeat and almost cried.
anywho this is all so exciting!
Edit @ 7:46 AM on 1.12.06: Thanks for all your help! I really appreicate it. I'll tell my sister what the thoughts are on the names :)

Date: 2006-01-11 01:15 am (UTC)Analiese is nice but I predict problems with how to spell her name.
I LOVE Ashley :) Love love love.
Natalie seems a bit dated, it was the 80's name with Kelly and Sarah.
Riley.. eh.
Jessika.. now.. this is something dear to my heart. My name is not Nikki. My name is "Nikki-N-I-K-K-I" Poor little Jessika won't be named Jessica, she will be named "Jessika-with-a-K...Yeah...J-E-S-S-I-K-A" KWIM? I hate having to spell my name for all and sundry because it's not the norm.. or rather there's different spellings.
Hannah is a lovely lovely name.
Emily is also a great name :D My Niece's name. :)

Date: 2006-01-11 01:34 am (UTC)Analiese sounds pretty, but the spelling seems complicated.
Ashley, again, nice but not my style.
Natalie I have never liked, possibly because every Natalie I've met has been a horrible bitch.
Riley is adorable.
Jessika is pretty, but I don't like that spelling, and I think the kid would get tired of spelling it out for everyone.
Hannah is very nice.
I love the name Emily.

Date: 2006-01-11 04:59 am (UTC)Analiese-cute but i agree with other-the spelling might be tough
Ashley is a nice name-not my style though
Natalie-eh. I only knew 1 in my life (so far) and we did NOT get along so naturally, I dont like the name! horrible reason, I know.
Riley-cute for a boy not so much a girl IMO (Rylee is a little better for a girl but I wouldnt do it)
Jessika-she will be correcting people her whole life
Hannah-is AWESOME
Emily-cute cute cute

Date: 2006-01-11 05:50 am (UTC)Just sayin'.
Ashley, Natalie, Hannah and Emily are all very nice names. My favourite it Hannah, but I especially like Natalie because it's a bit less common now.
Hate Jessika (sounds a bit dated, almost like Jennifer, and that spelling....) and Riley (trendy; and while it's kind of "cute" it's got nothing else going for it and doesn't age well).

Date: 2006-01-11 06:41 am (UTC)I like Riley, but as someone mentioned, it doesn't age well. But it's okay.
Emily is nice, as is Hannah (I have a bad assocation with the name Hannah so I personally hate it, but as far as a name goes, it's nice). Analiese is really pretty but will prompt everyone to say "How do you spell that?". I like Alyssa better than Alissa and it provides the nickname "Aly". Natalie is fine too.

Date: 2006-01-11 09:11 am (UTC)Emily, Hannah, Ashley, Jessika - Just boring to me, sorry. *Especially* with a lastname like Johnson.
Analiese - always sounds like "on a leash" to me. And I agree about Anal too.
Natalie - Still reminds me of the fat girl on Facts of Life. Plus I don't really like the sound of "Nat" which makes me think of gnats and tangled hair.

Date: 2006-01-11 09:44 am (UTC)Analiese- I absolutely love this name, really really do...
Ashley - i have to say, so popular, i think it's boring.. but if your sister loves it that thats the main thing...it's unisex too, i think it's cuter on a boy actually.
Natalie - I can't stand Natalie, i have no idea why, just never have liked it, sorry!
Riley- Cute.. for both boy & girl
Jessika - I definetly prefer the traditional spelling. The K looks to harsh.
Hannah- Another boring name i dont like.. which is strange since i like Anna a lot & they are pracically the same name *muses*
Emily - Another popular name, number 2 i seem to remember.. i do like it a lot. I adore Amélie though, which is probably why.

Date: 2006-01-11 10:23 pm (UTC)Alyssa/Alissa: i never understood the appeal.
Analiese: it's okay. bad association.
Ashley: while it's very common, i like it too. i prefer the spelling "ashlee" though.
Natalie: pretty.
Riley: nice, but getting popular. i like "rylie" & "reilly" better though.
Jessika: i prefer the traditional "c".
Hannah: hate this name.
Emily: nice, but like you said, really popular now.
here are some other suggestions your sister may like. she seems to like girly, well-known names rather than the eccentric & out there ones that no one can pronounce.
alexis/alexa
angelina
brooke
calista
cara/kara
dawn
jamie
jayla
jocelyn
julianne
katelyn
kayla
kylie
kyra
lacey
leah/lia
miranda

Date: 2006-01-12 01:43 pm (UTC)Alyssa/Alissa: too fluffy. If your sis gives her this name, make sure that her middle name is Anne, Catherine, or Elizabeth, so that she has a traditional option if she ever decides her first name is too trendy.
Analiese: You can't do this. The first four letters spell ANAL
Ashley - I always think of it as a boy's name because of my obsession with Gone With the Wind. To me, it's a little 1980s.
Natalie - I love this. It means Birthday!!
Riley: Hate
Jessika: The spelling reminds me of "swastika." Jessica or Jessamine are OK in my books
Hannah: too popular. She will be Hannah K. or Hannah L. or whatever her last name is.
Emily: very common but I love it. Less used variation: Emmaline

Date: 2006-01-19 05:56 pm (UTC)I still like it. People will always think of ways to be dirty with a name if they REALLY want too.
