I know a 20-year-old boy in a band & covered in tattoos named Britton. One of the [female] pediatricians where I work is probably in her mid-30's named Brytton.

WDYT? Better on a boy or a girl? Which spelling? Or a terrible name altogether that should be avoided at all costs?

I met a girl named Britain too. I think I might like it for a boy's name better.

brytton looks like it should be pronounced like brighton.

i think britton / britain is ok, but i think its masculine sounding.

I have only ever known one guy named Britton, but since he was very flamboyantly gay, it still feels like kind of a feminine name to me, haha.

Brytton sounds like it would be said Brighton, which is a name I actually quite like on a boy (SO not my usual style, but oh well).

Britton I think I also prefer on a boy.

I know a guy named Britain. I don't like the name for either gender. I like Brittany a lot, though.

I know a woman with a 10 year old daughter named Britain. I can't remember how she spells it but her husband's parents are from Great Britain and that's where the daughter's name comes from.

I kinda like it on girls or guys.

I like this name, actually. I think it's better on a boy, but I think I might like it on a girl as well.

I think I would spell it Briton or Britton. Maybe even Britain. I don't like names with extraneous Ys.

Or you could spell it Britten. That's the last name of an English composer.
