[identity profile] britnibear.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Okay so, I have posted in here once or twice but still haven't chosen a name for the baby girl yet. I am 36 weeks today ... please, help me haha. I've had ideas but it's just so hard for me to be like "this is her name ____." Ya know? At first I liked November, but you guys talked me out of that one. Then I liked Nelia (pronounced nah-lee-uh), and I still like that (boyfriend isn't too keen though).

For a while I was really stuck on Naomi but it turned out to be my boyfriends moms middle name and I really, really, really didn't want her to be named after anyone. A customer at my work came up with the idea of using that then my moms middle name. So it would be Naomi Jean Peck (last name). I think it's cute, and flows but, like I said, I didn't want to name after anyone.

Thoughts?

As you can see I am stuck on "N" names. I really like Nelia. Jordan likes Jocelyn. Its okay, but it's too common for me. Maybe cause I worked with someone named Jozlin.

Anywho, can you just give me a list of your favorite names. Nothing too plain Jane, I don't want any Katherines or Abigails being thrown out there haha.

Thanks in advance :D

Ditto! Nyla was my suggestion also!

I was going to suggest that as well! I think it's a pretty great name. Now I'm off to look for more suggestions ;)

Nadia
Natalia
Nerissa
Nydia (Lydia is one of my favorite names)
and I do like your suggestion of Nelia (I'd say go for that, it is uncommon but not OMGWTF were you thinging, either, and it's very pretty!)

I knew a little girl named Nataya (nah-TIE-ah) several years ago, which I always thought was unusual but pretty. I've also heard Nerise (nehr-EES), which I like. I had a friend named Nola when I was 3, and named one of my dolls after her.

I like Jocelyn, and don't think it's too common--I've only ever met one.

Nimue and Mneme (nee-mee) are the first N'is names that came to mind. Came across Nemane (Ne-Mah-NEE) the other day and thought it was cool. I like November, too. I also like Nona.

I came across a girl named Naila once. Pronounced NY-la. She was a beautiful girl, and I thought the name suited her quite nicely.

aww, but i *like* november. naomi is nice too.
i personally don't like nelia or jocelyn, the first sounds old-ladyish to me and the second kind of 80's.

nadia or nadja
naida
nathalie
nina
naya
neve
nita
noa
noelle
nubia (which obviously wouldn't work so well on, say, a blonde, hah)
