I don't have any kids, but on my father's side of the family, they have a tradition of giving the parent's first name to their first child as a middle name. So, my grandparents names are Wayne and Evelyn, so my dad's name is Anthony Wayne, and my aunt's is Denyse Evelyn.
My mother had a lot of trouble coming up with a name for a boy - she liked Mark, but with Anthony as the middle name, it sounded like Marc Antony. She tried to go against tradition because she liked the name Andrew Scott, but the initials would have then been ASS.
Good think my sister and I were both girls. Although, neither of us have our mother's name as our middle name. Mine's after a family friend and my sister's was random. I'd like to keep the tradition though, even if for just my sons (if I have any).
