[identity profile] murderprotocol.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Newbie here. I love names (I'm a writer), so this community is perfect. I just thought I'd share some names I found 'amusing'.

My boss has a daughter named Koedie, and her sister recently had twins, named 'Avah-Lilly' (I think there was also a middle name) and 'Jhett Phoneix' (either the middle name's a mistake on my boss' part, or that's how it's spelt).

I had a bit of a chuckle about it, then told my mother, who was like, 'WTF?'. She can't really talk; her name's Lo-Ann and she gets some pretty strange reactions.

Thoughts?

Avah-lilly might be alright if it were not for the silly attempt to give the name an unusual spelling.

I'm not crazy about Lily being spelled with two "ll" to me that spelling is a variation of the name "Lillian" not the actual name Lily. But that's just me.

My little cousin is Lilly, after her great-grandmother Lillian.

I think they all have potential if they didn't attempt to make them KR8TiV (as long as Koedie is pronounced like Cody), except Jhett Phoneix.

Your mom's name reminds me of my nurses name when I was in the hospital, LoReah.

Yeah, I agree on the 'potential' part =)

I prefer Lilly by itself with two l's, but for the combination of Avah-Lilly, I'd prefer it with one l, I think.
