I should've put this name in with my other poll but I completely forgot.

I've always liked Vera even though it sounds like the name of a woman in her 80s, and "Mae" has just begun to grow on me. I paired them together because they're both short and sweet.

I'm not a fan of the fact they're both short and include the same 2 vowels.
But of course it's a perfectly decent name! :)

It also reminds me of the word "veramente" in italian, which translates to "really" and is prn vay-rah-maine-tay, so aside from the -ntay part, it sounds quite similar

I usually don't like Vera...I always think of bitchy old Vera Donovan from Dolores Claiborne...but Vera Mae is beautiful.
