What do you think of the name posy/posie?

We are beginning to plan for a second baby, and have been talking about using a 'floral' name if it is a girl (In honur of my grandmother). Originally, picked out for a second girl, was Poppy June, but we've been leafing through other ideas and came across Posie. I realize neither Poppy nor Posey are particularly formal, but I figure with kids name Moxie Crimefighter etc, I'm not too worried lol.
Okay, so opinions. Maybe middle names too?

I don't like Posey. It's a cutesy name that wouldn't age too well, I don't think, and my mind is associating it with the Black Plague. >_<

It would make a terribly cute nickname, but I don't think it ages well. Maybe you could use it as a nickname for a more formal name? I'm big on giving a child a proper formal name.

posey is cute. but i prefer poppy, and as a nickname for penelope.

if you decide to go with a name like that, i would personally use a more traditional middle name, so its there for her to fall back on when she gets older, if she so chooses.

i think poppy june sounds very cute and i like posey too.
i would stick with a simple, more classic middle name.

I know a girl named Poppy Chanel Lastname.

She's pretty badass.

We have restraints that we use in the hospital called Posey vests. They're put on old, confused people who try to get out of bed but are too weak to walk. Anyway, that's the first thing I think of.

Plus, Posie rhymes with nosey. Not feeling the name at all.

For what it's worth, I really like Poppy June.

My cousin's name is Posy Marie Tamsin Moonlight.
She loves it and hasn't had any trouble with it at all. I quite like Posy too but of course I'm biased.

I don't really care for Posy, but Poppy is cute.

i think posie is cute, but it seems a little nickname-y, but i can't think of a name it'd be a nickname for.

i really love poppy. it does kind of have an opiate connotation, though, to me anyway.

either way, i don't think you can go wrong. :) they're both very sweet names. i just like poppy better because it's one of my favorites and i've never given any thought to posie/posy before.

weren't you recently going to have a baby and name her Scarlett June?
what happened to that? i guess you didn't use june afterall.
