Date: 2008-03-22 09:57 pm (UTC)I hated my name growing up because I always had one other Jennifer in my class so we had to go by our last initial. Not to mention we were best friends. I don't mind it anymore, though.

Date: 2008-03-23 01:34 am (UTC)Jaelin has been around for a while, so I'm not sweating the popularity of that one. I'm nearly 15, and I've met plenty of people my age with that name, spelled however the parent wished. Jailin, Jailynn, Jalin, Jeilyn, Jahlin...
As for the other Aidan names... why can't people be more creative? Like, it's utterly ridiculous how popular this name is (it's like the Jennifers and Tiffanys of the last two decades, I think). I understand that Aedyn/Jaidyn/Jaylinn/Zeidin/Haiden/Kehdan/Brahden is a cute name, but it's a generic cute name with virtually no originality
outside of the way you spell it. *sigh*It's really too bad, because actually I love the name Aidan, but I won't even use it except as a middle name because of how much I see it.

Date: 2008-03-26 02:46 am (UTC)I'm in the exact same boat. It kills me because I love the name so much. Damn trendy parents.

Date: 2008-03-23 04:20 am (UTC)It is interesting to see how people are realizing that Aidan and Jayden are really popular, but they still want to name there kid something similar so you get Rayden, Xadyen, Bayden, etc.
