My friend just found out she's having a girl. A girl she plans on naming

Lilyth Claire

I love Lilith. I love Claire. I get hung up on that stupid y, and I usually don't mind y substitutions

I normally don't like y substitutes but this one I kind of like. It reminds me of Blythe and I like that name..
I understand not liking the y though. Claire is cute too.

I love Lilith but the Y is not nice. It just looks...wrong.
Also, I agree that it sounds like Lilith Fair.

I rather dislike that 'y' there. It makes the whole name look wrong, to me. Otherwise, Lilith Claire is a lovely name.

It really makes me want to say lily-ith and not lilith at all.

It makes me want to give it more of an -eeth sound than -ith. Lilith Claire is nice, though.

Yeah, I said that outloud to myself and thought "Lilith Fair"... not exactly what I would want to picture if that was my daughter.

i am, more often than not, vehemently opposed to the random sticking of the letter y in perfectly good names. its just irritating. in this case though, in my opinion, because lily is a name on its own (unlike a name like, say, madyson or something), it actually alters the pronunciation of the name.

lilith claire is very nice though.
