is the name Gloria too "grown up" for a baby? Any suggestions for a middle name or a first name that Glorida would flow well with as a middle name.

the only two that I can come up with so far that i like (which the husband doesnt like) are:
Gloria Rae
Gloria Laine
Gloria Renee

No, not too grown up. Especially because we're adults a lot longer than we're kids. ;)

My mom's best friend was named Gloria. She passed away several years ago. Don't know what her middle name was, or even if she had one. I like the name. I wouldn't use it, but it's nice.
I really like Gloria Laine.

Nah, it's fine.
They're goling to be an adult far long than a small child. Would take 'too grown up' over 'cutesy' any day.

She could always go by Glory, or Ria [ree-uh].

Gloria Laine sounds lovely.

I don't think it's too "old" for a baby, I think it's very nice, actually. I prefer Gloria Renee.

OMGosh, I love your icon!! I got sent that e-mail last year, the babies made out of marzipan!! I wish I had saved those pictures! Did you make the icon, or did someone else? I would love to take it, is that alright with you if I credit the proper person?

I like Gloria.

But I would not use a middle name with an R in it.

Gloria Madeleine or something like that sounds nice...
Gloria Estelle...

I'm not a fan of Gloria or Glorida. I know a girl named Glorida who goes by Glow, and both names make me think of big glow worms to tell you the truth, lol.

The middle name Renee is good though, hehe, cause its my middle name :P

I never payed much attention to the name Gloria, until recently, after I read a book with a child named Gloria. It was lovely, really suited her & i warmed to it. It's not my personal choice for a first name, maybe a middle name though- but i do like it a lot.
The names you have chosen are rather modern & a little...americanised maybe? i would choose a more obvious, pretty middle name personally.

Gloria Elizabeth
Gloria Rose
Gloria Kate

Gloria is a pretty name, my older cousin is named Gloria. I really don't care for those middle names yet I really don't have any suggestion.

I don't think it sounds too grown up at all.

Anyways, I'd avoid Gloria Jean because people will think that you named her after the coffee chain. And you might get questions about naming her after that Laura Branigan song from the 80's ("Gloria, Gloria, I think I got your number!"). ;)

How about Gloria Lenette??

I like Gloria. How about Gloria Jane?

Glory as a nn for a little baby would be cute. And hey, she'll have a song named after her (Van Morrison's "Gloria")
