My favourite of the individual names you listed is Diana. The others are okay, but I feel like naming a kid Tiamat is just asking for trouble ... primordial goddess of chaos?

In the sibsets, I think my favourite is Theodore and Gabriel, but I like some of the names individually as well, especially Julian, Alejandra and Emory.

I'm not sure about Diana, I really like it but I've know a few Diana and Diane's so I always associate it with those people.

Yeah I was curious about Tiamat as a baby name when I saw it I thought of a book I read when I was a kid.

Alejandra is rising quickly on my list. It seems like a nice way to honor the family, (both my brothers middle names are Alexander and my dads was supposed to be Alejandro but my grandpa forgot). Without it being entirely obvious.

My taste is starting to go kind of old fashioned I think. I hate popular and trendy names (having one myself). I like uncommon but not unheard of.

I thought maybe Phoebe and Penelope would be too matchy.

Well a name is a name to me, I like the names but I just couldn't see myself using them on boys so I use them for girls. I'm not doing it to be trendy and not because I want my girls to have "strong" names. I wouldn't avoid using a name I liked on a boy either because people think its too feminine (like Meryl).

Its just my preference for a few names that, honestly when I do have children I probably wont end up using. Because I know I'll have changed my mind a million times by then.

Belinda - ugly, it sounds like an overweight elderly woman
Winslow - kinda like but only because it's Josh Groban's middle name (if I'm remembering correctly)
Clover - my dead bird's name, so it's not a human name to me

Nah. Its just the names I like right now are always changing and those happen to be a few of the ones I'm not completely sold on. I try to shy away from trendy and towards more (classic I guess?) names because I know what its like to have a name that the novelty of that name wears off pretty quickly.

To me trendy would be Madison or Aiden, I think boys names on girls has been going on for a long time and is pretty generally accepted. Trendier ones I have seen have been like, a girl named Hunter.

I didn't know that :P thats why I like this community, I can learn whats really up with a name. I wasn't using Shane or Brett to be unique, Shane I've been toying around with for a while on either sex and Brett is a girl in a band I happened to like.

I just mean, I'd rather give a kid a name they can go with comfortable through their entire lives that isn't everyone and their second cousins name. I know some of my favorites are pretty popular, I'm banking on that if I still like them by the time I have kids they will have died down.

No Emmas or Braeideynnes for me thanks :p.

Haha its okay its nice to talk about something real with someone.

I'm not upset about it or anything, I've learned not to take too much personally because some people can be over zealous about proper acceptable names. Some people think mine are too trendy or too out there, I'm just going with names I like that I think can stand up throughout a persons entire life.

Someone is always going to think its "too" something, I just hate feeling like I've been stamped with something.

Sienna - not a big fan. it's ok and tolerable, i guess.
Belinda - ick. i like melinda though.
Diana - it seems kind of dated to me.
Tara - ditto.
Rene - not a fan, although it does sound good as a middle name a lot of the time.
Winslow - reminds me of family matters. haha. i prefer willow.
Tiamat - i've never even heard of it. i'm not even sure how i'd pronounce it.
Clover - i think it's cute, but a little too cute for a first name. i'd use it as a mn.


Phoebe & Penelope - i don't like phoebe, but together, they're nice.

Lilah, Beatrix & Eirene - i would never spell irene like that, but together, i like them.

Harvey & Gene - don't like either.

Autumn, Angela & Chloe - kind of trendy. i don't like angela.

Shane, Kellan & Brett(ALL GIRLS) - no, they're all way too masculine IMO.

Lauren(nn?), Josephine(Josie) & Mia - i think forcing a nickname out of certain names (like lauren) is annoying. why not just call her lauren?

Julian & Joaquin - i like julian, not joaquin.

Theodore & Gabriel - don't like theodore. i like theo though and gabriel.

Meryl, Vincent & Eli(ALL BOYS) - i only like eli.

Alejandra(Aly),Ezequiel(Izzy/Zeke) & Santiago(?) - don't like any.

Emory, Amos & Bartholomew(Bart)[BOYS] - i only like emory..and altogether, the sibset seems like a little too much.
