With the large volume of crazy and ridiculous and trendy names I come across every week, I guess I shouldn't be surprised anymore. But I was absolutely STUNNED to come across a child with this name this past week:

Bacardi

If I had enough balls, I seriously would have asked his mother what in the WORLD she was thinking when she decided to name her son Bacardi!

So WDYT of this name? Will anyone be adding it to their lists now? ;-) What other just plain RIDICULOUS names have you come across recently?

I thought that after Armani, Cartier and Chanel (which also means 'whore' in tahitian), we were done. Apparently not!

I have also heard of Hennessy, which is also an alcoholic beverage!

But at least Hennessy is a beverage named after a person, so it was a name first (albeit a last name)!

...I just googled and so is Bacardi... so I guess I don't have a point.

I went to high school with a boy named Cardi. Cardi Anthony, Jr. actually.

I don't know what she was thinking, but I think we can all tell what she was drinking. Whether she was drinking it when she named the kid or if it's a description of why the child exists is debatable.

I went to high school with a Bacardi, Martini and a Hennessy. I also used to babysit a Jaeger.

I live in Miami, where tacky names are rampant.

Bacardi...well at least he'll be the most popular frat boy ever :p

PS I am adding it to my list, but I only like it spelled Bi'Cyrdy - for a girl, of course.

No, no, it should be PeKarteiye, prn Bacardi, for a boy!

Sorry, that may be OUR OWN OPINION, but the Y obliviously makes it a feminine name. WDYT of MyXXXer as a mn???

There's a little girl at my church named Kahlua.
She's darling and we've gotten used to the name, but when I first heard her name in the nursery I went and checked the check-in sheet to make sure I was hearing it right.. LOL

I would never name my child Bacardi, or Kahlua, or Tanqueray or anything like that...hehe

At least my parents were more subtle with Bailey and Morgan.

Wow. I got the Morgan, but Bailey took me a moment, haha.

I don't think it was intentional... Bailey might have been. Apparently my dad and I named her (she was born when I was six) so I don't really remember that happening. So he might have just picked it.

Morgan's, too, was apparently the name of the bar my parents met at.

I swear we're not all alcoholics.

I was 6 when my sister was born, too. I picked her name (Kirsten), after Kirsten Dunst in the movie Little Monsters, lol.

And my mom decided to change it to Kearstyn. Which honestly, I like. I just now saw another Kearstyn above, and that's even with an extra n.

Yes Hello, these are my children Cruiser, Ruski and Woodstock.

That kid is going to get the shit kicked out of him when he's a teenager.
