Mar. 14th, 2008 01:19 amMy friend just gave birth to a healthy girl whom she named Kyla, after her brother Kyle.
Another note, what do you think of the name Abraham or Abram? They are just names I've been thinking about lately, with the nn Abe.

Date: 2008-03-14 01:14 pm (UTC)If you are Jewish, Avram and Abraham have different connotations as Avram is the name of Abraham before he was recognized by G-D as a patriarch, after which he changed his name to Abraham. You also have Aviv, a nice name that means spring.
I'd be happy to say more about the Avi variations if you're interested, just let me know. We are considering something like this for my baby (in utero) as my grandfather was Abraham (didn't like his name; changed from Avram at Ellis Island) and My Loved One's father's name (of blessed memory) was Avi.
That may have been TMI...
