What do you think of the name Miles? I used to think that it didn't age very well but I've just finished reading Liar's Poker by Michael Lewis and in passing he mentions a person called Miles, so now the image in my head is of a suave investment banker and I quite like it. How do you like it with my other favorite names Oliver, Gabriel and Max? What do you think of Miles Nicholas?

Miles always makes me think of the butler in The Nanny Named Fran show.
Although his name was Niles, I still associate it. Not sure why..

But I think it sounds good and I definitely see it more on an adult or young man rather than a boy, so I don't think the aging is a problem at all.

I love all your other names and I think Miles sounds good with them.

oliver, max and miles are three of my top names, so i think it goes wonderfully! (i like gabriel a lot too!)

I think Miles Nicholas flows well, but I somehow feel like they don't fit together. I guess it's because I think of Miles as a 'modern' name, and Nicholas as a 'classic' name. But that's probably just me =).

I love love love the name Miles but I can't use it. My future-last-name is 'Long'. Lol! So that one is out. I definitely think you should use it. :o)

I am sure your son would love being named Miles Long! Think about all the (albeit trashy) girlfriends!

My boyfriend's first name starts with A, so on his hockey jersey, it says "A. Long", so they can tell him and his cousin, Mike, apart. The refs tease him EVERY game: "A. Long what?" with lots of winking. Lol! Cousin Mike's jersey says, "M.R. Long", like Mr. Long. Ha. :op So they're very careful about names in this family. :o)

I looooove Miles. I think it's a great name; cute on a child, but works well on an adult, too. Miles Nicholas sounds great. And I like it with all of those names except Max, because it's too matchy, but if that doesn't bother you, I think it works. Miles and Oliver are my favorites:)

I'm living in the UK right now and Miles and Myles are both quite popular. I know a Myles Lucas. Miles Nicholas is very nice. I don't like Miles Max or Max Miles. Alliteration is kind of annoying sometimes.

I like Miles a lot. Its on mu list hehe. I get a bit hesitant to use names that are words used in everyday life, but I do really like it a lot

I like the name Miles but I have a friend named it so.

When I think of it I think of either my friend or an older character in books I fell in love with in middle school.

my cousin is named Miles Sebastian. He is known only as Miles. and i think it's a cool name for a quirky little rascal. lol.
