I just got finished watching all three Ocean's movies. WDYT of the name Linus?

I think it's really cute on a little boy but not so much on a teenager or adult. Well -- it might work on certain teeangers/adults but not many.

Er, well, the mythological connotations are not ones that I like. The name means 'one who will die young', and that's probably not the greatest meaning for a child's name. I could be wrong on this, though, and I do quite like the way it sounds.

On the other hand, Matt Damon is hot and the only other Linus I've known was a really cute little boy. When I knew him, both his legs were broken and one of his wrists because he'd jumped out of a tree, thinking he could fly like a superhero. He was six or seven at the time.

So my first reaction, is: bad name, but apparently given the evidence, it's one that grows on you. I think you're probably right in that it would work fine for some people.

i worked with an elderly gentleman named Linus and it fit him. he was spunky and cute! yes, i called an old man cute. lol not in the sexual way, but more like, i-wanna-pinch-your-cheeks-you're-so-cute kinda way.

it grew on me... as did the old man. :)

i say if you like it, use it. :) but give him a middle name (or use linus as a middle name) in case he wants to go by something else. :D

i love the peanuts character, but i don't know if i could use it for a person as it strikes me more as a pet. i don't know. :/
