i saw that on a name tag today. i've only seen it reid before, so i was a little weirded out. i'm not a fan of the name in general though...

I kind of like that name, but not that spelling. It can be confusing enough seeing that word in writing and not always knowing if you're supposed to be pronouncing it as "red" or "reed" ... having a sentence like "Read read the book" is just asking too much.

I knew an Australian piano professor named read from my undergrad days and I really loved it. I think it is a strong name. :)

Good name, but better spelled Reid or Reed. I actually like Reeve better, though because it has a similar sound but would be less confusing in speech.
