Mar. 8th, 2008 09:26 pmI am an English nut...
Rosalind from As You Like It is one of my favorite characters of all time. It was my first exposure to Shakespeare. But it's wayyyyy too, well, odd for me to bring it up to my husband. But I thought if I had other versions of it in mind, we could work with it.
So, what do you think would be a more modern version? Like Rosemary or Rose?
TIA!! :)

Date: 2008-03-09 09:36 pm (UTC)Rosaline might appeal to your husband a little more. I wouldn't exactly call Rose a modern version, since it's the root of Rosalind, but it is more common, so yes, it works. Rosemary is a bit of a stretch, but still nice--I associate it more with the herb than with roses.
