(no subject)

The name Ren has been on my mind a lot lately, and I think I will use it for a character in an upcoming fiction piece. I can't decide which spelling I like best.

Ren
Renn
Wren

What do you think of the name and which of the above (or any other) spelling do you like best?

Ren makes me think of The Ren and Stimpy Show and secondly of Footloose.

It makes me think of Footloose first.
I love Footloose.

It makes me think of Even Stevens!

I like it a lot, spelled Ren or Wren. I think of Ren as a nickname and Wren as full first name.

I've only seen it spelled Wren. It's a nice name.

Wren would be how I would spell it. Ren makes me immediately think of Ren and Stimpy.

I have an LJ friend with a daughter named Wrenna - Wren for short. I love it!

I like Wren. I don't like it as Ren.

I've had Renne on my list for a girl for a while.

Ren = Ren and Stimpy.

Wren = Even Stevens.

Renn.. uh.. looks.. like not a name?

I like Wren best, personally.

Wren, like the bird, is good.

Ren/Renn, like Ren & Stimpy or ren faire...not so much.

I really like it because it makes me think of O'Ren Ishii from Kill Bill vol.I :) (it's Lucy Liu's character).

I like Ren, dislike the others.

It could be also short for Renée or Renard (Ren-AHR in french means "fox", it's not a name but I'd fit it to the purpose, if I wanted to use Ren hehe)

[identity profile] smasharash.livejournal.com 2008-03-09 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I like it spelt Wren. Ren or Renn look incomplete and like it should be short for something rather than an name in it's own right.

[identity profile] memorymaze.livejournal.com 2008-03-09 03:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Wren only.

[identity profile] shortbutfast.livejournal.com 2008-03-09 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
i would use renn.

[identity profile] after-the-ashes.livejournal.com 2008-03-10 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
I might use it if I have a boy (I'm preggers!) as a nn for Henry =]
