My husband is Benjamin. Everyone calls him Ben. I am allowed to call him Benny but never Benji. And my sweet nick name for him is Boo.

Name is Kristi... I go by Feefee, mostly (immediate family). My boyfriend constantly calls me "Baby", even when he's made at me lol. One group of friends I have call me "E-z" (long story). And my mom has weird nicknames for me, one being "Widge" (taken from Widget) and BooBooWish (she calls a few people that though, I think).

And then there's Kris. Only 5 people can get away with calling me that.

I'm Elizabeth, and I mostly go by Beth, but I also use Liz and my full name a fair bit.

My grandfather was very hard of hearing and thought my parents were calling me Bess, so I was Bess to him until he died. (Which I recall fondly, but would hate from anyone else--it sounds like a good name for a milk cow.)

My German teacher in high school decided Libby made a more appropriate nickname in his class, so Libby it was.

I sometimes get variants of Beth that just grate on me--Bether and Bethy. My mother-in-law is particularly persistent in using Bethy (and calls her other daughter-in-law Tawny instead of Tanya; we're obviously five year olds).

A friend in school decided I was Ebethaliz, which I really like. To my husband, I'm Beth, Ebethaliz, or Kitty (which is completely unrelated to my name, but it's my favorite nickname).

My name is Melissa. My parents call me Lissy Laura (my middle name), Lissa Laura, or Lissy Bug. Another nickname that my dad used when I was little was Bunkerdoodle. I have no idea where that came from. Heheh. When my brother was little he called me Bizza, because he couldn't say Melissa. It kind of stuck...he still calls me that from time to time. My friends call me Lissa, Mel (which I don't like), Meliss, Meesa (long story), and Messy (which is quite funny, because I'm totally OCD about cleaning and organization, haha). If anyone calls me Missy, they get the death glare. I HATE Missy.

My brother's name is Daniel Joel. We've always called him Daniel Joelie Guacamole. He hates it. ;oD Also, when he was little, I called him Boo-Boo. Oh, and sometimes I call him Squishy, and he calls me Fluffy...we had these marionette puppets when we were kids called Fluffy (a bird) and Squishy (a caterpillar), and we started calling each other those names. His friends have always called him Dan. I love the nickname Danny for the name Daniel, but he never lets anyone call him that. Ever.

I have a friend named Caryn, and I call her Crayon. ;o)

I have another friend named Laura, and I call her Lola. But her middle name is Elizabeth, and nicknames abound, as you can imagine. You know that scene in Pride & Prejudice where Mr. Darcy says "dearest, loveliest Elizabeth"? I always address emails, etc. to her like so: "To my dearest, loveliest (Laura) Elizabeth". :o)

You can really come up with something for any name on earth if you try hard enough. And people will always want to come up with nicknames.
