im new.. fanatic of names.. anyway.  My names Jaden.  I have a son name Ryan Christopher and a daughter named Lyric Micaiah.  Did i curse them with being too plain? or Lyric with being too "Wow!"

also, Emersyn for a girl.  WDYT?

Emersyn is awful... especially spelt like that. My opinion is that it's trendy and the y makes it really tacky. Emerson is okay for a boy, not my style, but spelt correctly and used on a boy, it's okay.

Lyric is pretty but not really my style. Personally I would have chosen a more standard middle name.

I like Emerson for a boy. If you where to name a girl that I would use the correct spelling. I don't think adding a y makes it more feminine or acceptable.

Yes, that is my opinion. That's why I said it. I don't think Jyms is more feminine than James or Pytyr is girlier than Peter either. I don't really mind Emerson on a girl, I would just prefer it to be spelled correctly.

Well, i mean, i knew a little girl named Emerson (Spelled that way) so i automatically think of that spelling as for a girl. But no, i don't think its too masculine. Really its up to you, if it were to bother you, i'd just go with Emersyn (The more i look at it the more i get used to that spelling). :)

I like Ryan Christopher, not such a fan of Lyric.

I prefer Emerson for a boy, but it's one of the few names that I think I wouldn't mind on a girl as well. I prefer that spelling, and I really dislike it with the y ... if you didn't want it with an o, what about Emersen? I'm actually not sure if I really like that, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

i like lyric a lot. i think it's pretty, and cute, and relatively unusual. :)
not so crazy about the middle name, to be honest. it looks like you made it up, or made up the spelling, at least.
and ryan christopher is a good name, it's pretty common for my tastes, but i like ryan because i believe it means something along the lines of little king, and it reminds me le petit prince. :)

emerson is okay, but not with a y. and i think it's better on a boy, because "son" is...well, pretty masculine. and "syn" just looks tacky. what about emilia or emmeline or something? you'd still get all the em/emmy nicknames.

i think if you're going to go with emerson at all, you should spell it correctly. i don't think it's too masculine for a girl. she can always go by em or emmy or even her middle name.
