Feb. 29th, 2008 05:34 pmMet a woman (mid 40's) today that goes by Lady. Turns out that is a nn for Adelaide. I like it. She said that Adelaide wasn't a popular name when she was a kid and her friends started calling her Lady and it stuck.
Adelaide, NN Lady. WDYT?

Date: 2008-03-01 12:50 am (UTC)Nicknames are something you can't avoid.
My name is Courtney and my frequently used nicknames are:
MC
Court
Coney
Tollfree (my little brother couldn't say my name, so this is what came out)
Lucy (been called that since I was little, don;t know why. My brother is Patrick and they always called him Duke. Duke and Lucy! Come for supper!)
My sister gets Ray and Rocky (Rachel). She gets Rach sometimes, but hates it.
