Date: 2008-02-26 06:57 pm (UTC)Out of your names I really like James Alexander. Kaleb James isn't bad though. I'm not crazy about either of the girl names at all.

Date: 2008-02-26 07:07 pm (UTC)For your names, I like James Alexander Leigh (because James Alexander is too common) and Amber Dawn, withouth Lynn if that's an option, because the Lynn Dawn or Dawn Lynn combination either way sounds chinese.

Date: 2008-02-26 07:07 pm (UTC)Danica Rae is not my style at all.

Date: 2008-02-26 07:07 pm (UTC)I like James Alexander, but Leigh always seems feminine to me, and I don't like that spelling of Caleb.

Date: 2008-02-26 07:09 pm (UTC)All of those are decent names IMO, even though I never considered Hayden on a girl before.
Amber Lynn Dawn doesn't flow too well because of the two one-syllable names. How about Dawn Amber Lynn?
I don't like Kaleb, but that's a matter of personal taste.
James Alexander Leigh sounds really good!
Danica Rae isn't really my style.

Date: 2008-02-26 07:09 pm (UTC)Hayden is a male name, and quite trendy at that (all those -aiden/-ayden names are very popular right now!).
Caleb (with the C) James is nice. Kaleb with a K is too trendy for me. The name would be called out more than it would be written, so why not spell it the right way?
I love James Alexander. The Leigh part is feminine to me, but Lee would be ok.

Date: 2008-02-26 07:41 pm (UTC)I just like two middle names a lot.
And i'm pretty sure i'm going to go with Hayden Amber Lynn, or James Alexander. i don't know about Lee though. I'm pretty.. iffy on a second middle name and rather stumped too..
It's pronounced Dan-ih-kuh. I'm not too crazy about it.

Date: 2008-02-26 09:25 pm (UTC)I'd like Hayden Amber Dawn,
Have you thought of honoring your sister in a different way?
You could use a name similar to Lynn:
Linda
Lindy
Lina
Lee
Lea
Lia
Leah
Lida
Behind the name.com says: "From an English surname which derives from Welsh llyn "lake". It can also be a short form of LINDA or names which end in lyn or line."
Maybe Lake?
Or maybe by using a different stone name?
Jade
Pearl
Beryl
Amethyst
Jewel
Gemma
Ruby
Topaz
Also thought you might like these:
Hazel
Sienna
Tawny
Brown colors kind of like Amber.

Date: 2008-02-26 09:55 pm (UTC)And I like Kaleb James, but I like Kaleb spelled Caleb better. Caleb James is also my cousins name, but we call him CJ.
I also like Hayden Amber Lynn whether it was a porn star or not.

Date: 2008-02-26 09:59 pm (UTC)i don't really like any of your girl names though. they either seem really dated (80's-esque), like dawn and amber or super trendy, like hayden.

Date: 2008-02-26 10:30 pm (UTC)I really like Kaleb James. =)
Danica is a pretty name.
Not fond of the other names though.

Date: 2008-02-26 10:36 pm (UTC)i don't like kaleb/caleb, but i do like james alexander. leigh seems too feminine to me, i'd go with the lee spelling if at all.
danica rae sounds trashy.

Date: 2008-02-27 12:27 am (UTC)One is the actress who sucks, and the other is a boy i know, and his is Haeden.
Which seems like a manly spelling, so i went with the feminine spelling.
My mom loooves the name Caleb, But i just don't like C's...

Date: 2008-02-26 11:57 pm (UTC)Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the name either names, but there are worse names out there.
I like James Alexander Lee.
Leigh is the girl version, to me.

Date: 2008-02-27 12:28 am (UTC)Yes. Anberlin is why i'm sticking to Amber Lynn.
It's up to her what she wants to be called when she's older.

Date: 2008-02-27 02:23 am (UTC)As everyone else, though, Amber Lynn Dawn is kind of...well, I think you should give some thought to its connotations and whether or not you're okay with them.
Hayden is okay. It is very popular now but I wouldn't worry about that if you really like the name. I don't like it paired with "Amber Lynn", though.
Danica is pretty; I don't care for Rae but together it flows well.

Date: 2008-02-27 02:38 am (UTC)Amber Lynn Dawn IS really trailer-trashy sounding, and whether it's your little sister's name or not, that's the first thing people are going to think when they hear it. It's not an insult to your sister, just pointing out that people ARE going to think that, especially since (a) it's a porn star's name, (b) it sounds like a stripper's name, and (c) it is very very very dated.
Hayden is sooooo trendy, and whether you know two Haydens or not, it IS trendy and it's definitely not a name that your daughter is going to be able to grow up with. You can think it all you want, but the vast majority of people are going to think that (a) she's a boy or that (b) her parents weren't intelligent enough to pick a girl's name for her. It's awful, and I don't think very many people are going to be able to take a 30 or 40 year old woman named 'Hayden' very seriously.
