(no subject)

I'm not pregnant or anything, I just like thinking about names.

When I have a baby, it's very important to me that the middle name be Saphaedra (Sah FAY dra) (and only if it's a girl) but I can't think of any first names that go with it. Probably something short that doesn't end in "-a." Suggestions?

Phaedra is legit, why the extra "Sa?"

fair enough, just asking. ;)

I think you'd have to go with a short, classic first name.

Jane Saphaedra
Aimee Saphaedra
Maxine Saphaedra
Eva Saphaedra (I know you said it shouldn't end like that but I think this particular combination sounds nice)
Stella Saphaedra
Annie Saphaedra
Alice Saphaedra

Can I ask what it means and why you want to use it?

Sorry! I saw the explanation just after I posted. I don't think Saphaedra is such a bad name. My sister has a very unusual Russian name and loves the fact that she'll never (well, its not likely) meet someone with the same name as her.

How about Emily or Lily?

I second "Lily" :-) That's what we're naming our daughter but we haven't picked out a middle name yet.

i think its really great that youve picked a name with meaning, so many people dont these days, it seems. imo, something classic would work best. the first one that i thought of was ellen, which i think sounds nice with it, but i dont particularly like, personally. i wouldnt mind too much with the a sound because the two arent used together very often. ella saphaedra sounds really great, i think.
