Wdyt of the name Olga?

For me, it either reminds me of an old person or the restaurant, which doesn't have good food (in my opinion). It's also too harsh sounding. Oddly enough, with all these negatives, I still find it interesting, though not enough to use it.

The mother of a friend of my cousin is named Olga.
It reminds me of an old German woman.

I went to school with a lot or Russian girls and every other one was named Olga. I want to hate it, but it seems normal to me now.

I think of a really tall Swedish woman. I could potentially do my "swedish impression" with that name, which basically consists of me saying, "My name is (insert Swedish name, usually Ingrid), I come from Sveeden." Yeah I'm so bad at accents though, I end up sounding Arab or something.

Oh my gosh, I do that Swedish impression thing too! I usually say, "My name is Helga, I am Sveedish, I like to eat meatballs."

I've actually been thinking about this name lately because one of my new co-workers is named Olga and an Irish girl in one of my classes. I've never heard it on a real person before besides TV characters. Both those girls are teenagers.

I love it. I think it's such a sweet name. It may be because I'm used to hearing it (I'm Ukrainian.).

i love slavic names, but they don't fair well in the US. people have horrible stereotypes associated with them. so, if you're not in the US, go for it!!

Meh. It sounds cute in theory, but in practice it probably isn't so cute around here, honestly.

I know a second grader named Olga. She's from Germany and very sweet, so it's got good connotations for me. It is a little harsh and doesn't lend itself to nicknames, which would bother me.

I think Olga sounds lovely and bouncy, but maybe a little too whispery and short for my taste.
