Feb. 22nd, 2008 10:55 amHere are some doozies I came across today:
Kelleigh

Also, does anyone know if Valerie used to be a common male name? I feel like I've met a French guys in the past named Valerie (pron Val-E-ree) but I wonder if I am making it up...

Date: 2008-02-22 07:30 pm (UTC)I bet over the next couple of years there's a whole rash of Scorpios being born though. And they will grow up to hate Harry Potter (and their parents) with a deep and burning hatred.
I knew a Galadrial at university. She had a brother as well. Might have been Celeborn, could have been Elrond or Thranduil though I just remember it was a) another elf and b) hideous.

Date: 2008-02-22 07:42 pm (UTC)Galadrial - I do not abide. It is one thing to name your kid Hermione, which pretty much screams HP, but is also a legit and lovely name. No getting around Galadrial though.

Date: 2008-02-22 08:00 pm (UTC)I think it was probably either Valery (as joereaves already said) or a nickname for the name Valerian.

Date: 2008-02-23 12:08 am (UTC)Hubby only vetoed it because he hates the nickname "Val" on a boy. I wonder if I can get him to un-veto it if we think of a different nickname, or I promise to always use Valerian in full. Hmmm.
