I was just playing with Nymbler to see if I could find any new names that I liked. Well, one that I got was Madden for a boy. WDYT? I don't know what I think about it, but I've never heard of it (as a name, anyways).

I've heard of it but I consider it trendy par excellence, combining the Maddox-craze to the -en trend. I guess that's not where it comes from, but if you used today, that's what I would think of it.

Also, it recalls the word "maddening" so easily, and that's such a nasty thing to name a child.

Joel?

Hah, that's the first thing that pops into my mind.
I'm not a fan.

I like the sound of it, but wouldn't use it 'cause...isn't it a video game title?

all I can think of is good charlotte, and I wouldn't really love to see a child named after such a terrible band. not nessicarily named after, but having the same name.

it's something you could live with, but I wouldn't put it on a kid.

It's a last name to me, I don't really like it as a first.

I prefer Maden, which means good. I think there is also a St. Maden.

My husband and I met a couple at a party who'd named their daughter Madden. I don't really care for it for either sex, to be honest. It makes me think of those Good Charlotte brothers.

Growing up, my friend's father looked exactly like John Madden. Everyone (even his children) called him Madden. So that's what I think of :)

It's my friend's surname and he gets called 'Madden'

- jock thing, all the boys go by their surnames really..

So I like it.

Madden is a football coach and announcer, and now his name is the title of NFL video games.
I think my bf would love it. Haha!

It reminds me of the football game, lol.

I like it, though.
