You probably wouldn't get many Captain and Tenille jokes these days, but that was the first thing that came to my mind!

Lena: LEAN-ah
Amelia: ah-MEAL-ee-ah
Tenille: teh-NEEL

They all have a musical quality to them. (no pun intended! lol) Amelia appeals to me the most, but it makes me think of Amelia Bedelia. I like the way Amelia and Tenille look, too. They sound soft and feminine, but they look tall and strong with the L's in the middle.

As an Amelia, I take issue with how people pronounce it. I HATE a-MEEL-yuh (which is how my mum says it most of the time, sadly). But oh well.

Lena I like but Tenille I'm not such a fan of. I think because I knew a Tenille who was pretty much an idiot.

I love Lena and Amelia but the name Amelia is popping up everywhere in the last 1-3 years.
I only know one Tenille and she kind of ruined the name for me, but I think that if I hadn't ever met her, I'd like it!
A friend of mine's dog's name is Lena, but who cares? I have a much more common dog name: Sunny!

haha tell me about it. I didn't really know of too, too many Amelia's almost 3 years ago when I named my daughter that (it's a family name and also was my favorite for personal, not popular reasons, as it wasn't really popular then) and then next thing you know it was creeping up everywhere! kind of annoyed me, but not to the point where I regret giving her the name.

actually, it's kind of similar with my younger daughter's name (Taryn). I had heard it once or twice IRL before using it. Afterward, the name was popping up in conversations "I know someone with that name..." and wedding announcements and such. who knew. def not as much as Amelia but still.

oh and my step son is Logan and I see his name on every third baby/kid now too. (he's going on 8)

hm. it's only around 83 on the top baby names list and I don't know of any Amelias. it mostly just depends on where you live and how many people you know, I suppose. I mean, Emily is the top name for girls (and has been for awhile) but I know only know 2 or 3.
