I'm just wondering what you guys thought of the girl's name:

Sabrina


I'm not particularly fond of the meaning, which is: "A Welsh river name", but I love the way it sounds.
Today it might have some attachments to the show "Sabrina: A Teenage Witch", but I assume that will blow over soon since the show has been over for a while and everything.

The movie was my first thought as well. :) I suppose it depends on the age of the listener, and.....I guess that means I'm old! lol Maybe just a big fan of Audrey.

Sabrina was one of the mean girls in middle school.

Although I like it and grew up watching Sabrina the teenage witch I will forever think of how awful middle school was when I hear it.

I was also fond of the meaning, but I had to drop it when I found out my bf's accent completely butchers it (that, and the many names containing -ab- that I love!)

I do not associate to the witch show, although I deem it quite likely for our generation. But maybe not the next!

I use to have a friend name sibrina but I also grew up with Sabrina the teenage witch so thats all I see when I hear the name

but when people know her, they won't think of the show! Example: even just watching Clueless, I was seeing her as Cher and wasn't thinking of ya know CHER.

also, my mom had a friend named Cher and I never thought of CHER.
