What do you think about names based off colours? I generally like them, but would never use two or more colour names in a sibset. Here are a few I can think of.

I used to love the name Amber, but now it seems so "teenage". I've heard from other people that Biancs sounds like a hooker name, but I just don't see it. Hopefully, that connotation isn't popular. Maybe I'll reserve that name for a pet dog. :D

I don't think Bianca sounds hookerish, either.
I think of Miss Bianca from The Rescuers, and though I've seen it used in one movie for a mean popular girl, that didn't change my opinion of the name itself--and I don't think it would no matter how many times that's been done recently. :/

I think most people think of the objects first for both of those, though, not the colors. Personally, I don't think they make a bad sibset.

I like using these names in my Sims games hehe. I've always loved MOST of these names, actually. My favourites are Jade, Rose, Violet, Lilac.

The only one I really dislike is Blanche.

I love them. I have a thing for the name Indigo =) If I were to ever use it, I'd use it only as a middle name.

I also like Ruby, Violet & Clementine a LOT.
Oh, and when I was about 13 I loved the name Saffron! I forgot about that!

There are actually a LOT of names that means colors, I remember looking up a big list of them at a site once, I think it was babynamer.com. Whitney is another one for white, I think.

I really like Jasper, Violet and Clementine. I kinda like Indigo though it reminds me of Rainbow Brite. I've never cared for Ebony or Ivory, though I'm okay with Bianca. Never heard of a person named Ivory and Ebony instantly lets you know the race of the person and I don't particularly want to put that on my child. I hate hate hate Jade.

Color names I like (and maybe why...)
Jade -- I've always loved this name and have several reasons: For one, the color itself; a song by one of my favorite bands is called 'Jade'; I have a TA this year named Jade and she's helped keep the name in the forefront for me.
Sienna -- I actually prefer this spelled Siena, after the city in Italy (which is a huge part of my history).
Violet -- I just think it's a sweet name with a classic sound.
Hazel -- It has a nice balance of strong and feminine, and I like the color.
Scarlett -- I admit, I have a HUGE girlcrush on ScarJo. Love that woman... Plus, I love that it's another strong and classic name.
Sage -- It's short but meaningful. I like it. :)
