Two names I've seen in the last week:

Adym [Adam]
Dhyvd [David]

And WDYT of the name Danika?

I like Adam and David, but oh my God are those fucked up spellings.

I prefer it spelled Danica, but Danika is okay, too. I prefer Anika, though.

This, except I don't like Anika.

I actually like it better spelled Danica, too.

I went to school with a Danica/Danika (I'm sure I knew the spelling at one point, but that was years ago). I sort of like it.

Adym shouldn't be the same as Adam, though it's obviously meant to be; it makes me think of a dull-witted Adam. Dhyvd not only doesn't look like it would be pronounced David, but it doesn't look like it'd be pronounced at all--trying to read it aloud (as written, not as intended) makes me stutter.

Danika's aiight. Those other names are horrible though! ugh. Who even thinks of something like "Dhvyd"? Yuck.

I wonder if that person would spell my name (Mary) like Mhyry then. I really don't get how Dhyvd is pronounced like David. Ugh...horrible! Same with Adym.

David and Adam are both pretty great names, but those spellings are awful ... my brother's name is David, and I didn't even think there was a way to destroy his name.

As if internet spellings aren't bad enough.

I really, really don't like Danika. It sounds so...masculine female prostitute-ish. I know I don't make sense D:
