What are your views on giving children two middle names (three names + Last name)?

I don't see the point. It's just unnecessary. I feel no connection to my middle name, the only purpose I feel it serves is to help distinguish me from all the other Susie Smiths out there. (That's not my name but it's about as common.) I dislike it by itself though, and it doesn't feel like my name the way the first does. I think I'd be annoyed if I had ANOTHER useless name in there. There's just no reason for it, IMO, and it just makes it look cluttered.

But not everyone feels that way about their middle name. My middle name is that of my much-beloved maternal grandmother, and I identify with it quite strongly. I think it just depends on the name/names and why they were chosen.

Yeah, I know a lot of people like their middle names. My partner despises his first name and goes by his middle name, so it's definitely important to him. I just think it starts to sound cluttered when you add in even more.
