DH and I are getting a puppy this weekend and I'm trying to think of a name. We have a cat named Winston (after Churchill), so it would be nice to stick with another W name. Also, we would want the name to have some kind of historical significance. I have also heard that dogs respond best to names that have a -y or -ie sound on the end (like Molly or Sammy). TIA!

I like Willy and Winnifred (Winni)

I'm pretty sure the cat from Pet Semetary was named after Winston Churchill too, but they call him Church for short, I think.
