..ugh I hate the new trends. And these kids with all these shitty names are only going to get older and we're going to have to hear about them more and more.
Our son is going to have an "ayden" name, but the name was picked out over a decade ago. So although it's trendy, it has a deeper meaning to us.
*shrug* Name your kid whatever you want... and if someone else complains about it, remind them that they have/can name(d) their kid whatever THEY want. Unless it's something redekuluzlee kreeaytyve, then they're asking for it.
Same with me. That's probably because it was popular before the rest of them came along. And because I've always had a little crush on Hayden Christensen.
I have a new one to add to the list. My friend is due any day with her 3rd child, and they are planning on naming him Traden (unsure on the spelling - pronounced Tray-den). She did better with naming her first two - Kylie Anne, and Tysenn (though I would have voted for Tyson).
Yikes, you are right. Trade-in is not a cool name... That is almost worth mentioning to her.... I guess I'll call and see if he was born today, and the name has already been slapped on a birth certificate...
I guess my reasoning why Tysenn is better than Traden, is because at least to the ears, Tyson/Tysenn sounds like a good name that a million other kids do not have a twist on, whereas Traden, no matter how it is spelt, is just one of the many -aden ending names that all become a blur after a while.... *shrug* Cute kids, whatever their names are!

Over 63,000 boys, or 3.76% of boys were named something rhyming with Aidan. Only 1% of boys were named Jacob, the most popular spelling of a name.

And before being a toothpaste, Colgate was an old, old name. I guess I like old names.

You should suggest just Trey.
She did a good job naming Kylie Anne, though!

They always call her Kylie Anne - the full name - which I think makes it especially cute!
Thanks for your comment. (And happy belated Valentines!)
